A New Year

I've been musing today about New Year's resolutions, goals etc etc. I'm really enjoying thinking about what I want to achieve/do this year.....great opportunity to set my sails in the right direction. But how am I going to remember those goals and resolutions? For me, what works is summing up all my goals and resolutions in one word. This year I've chosen ACCEPT.

The end of the year

So Christmas festivities are largely behind us. The presents have been opened and admired; both the vegan Christmas pudding and cake were pronounced 'delicious', and the quantities of chocolates, nuts and clementines have significantly reduced.

As I begin to prepare for the final ending of this year and the beginning of the next, I find myself pausing.....and looking back...at all the things I have really enjoyed and been delighted with this year: the clients who have worked with me to change their health and lives for the better, the joy of e-mails and phone calls from previously unwell clients who are now back in work...or having the baby they always dreamed of having, or doing the voluntary work they always wanted to do. My own achievements of playing a piano duet in a school concert, of qualifying to run and running Building Your Future courses, and completing a course in Aspergers Syndrome. Before the new year begins, I want to relish the old.
